Congratulations to Vinnie Calabrese (NSW) for defending his title to claim the 2025 Clem Jones AO QLD Open and the final Q-Tour qualifier event for the Asia-Pacific region (APSBF) at the Redcliffe Snooker Club in Redcliffe, Australia..
Vinnie in great form all weekend out played Shaun Dalitz from NSW to win 5-1 in the final match this afternoon. Zipping to a 4-0 lead with breaks of 127, 57, 78 and 55 before the session break. Shaun demonstrated his class though with a 97 break in the 5th. Vinnie took out the last frame and match with a 55.
Vinnie has now finished the Q-Tour series for the region with 12,000 points having won 4/5 events without having competed in the NZ Open. He now has the opportunity to represent the region in the final Q-Tour qualifier where 23 players across the world compete for 3 spots on the World Snooker Tour.
Congratulations to the Queenslanders Xavier Daw and Paul Norris for reaching the semi-finals.
High break of 141 was made by Vinnie on his semi final match against Xavier.
