Wayne Ross Memorial over 50’s Handicap Snooker Tournament 28th, 29th and 30th October 2022.
Tournament Conditions.
Entries will be capped to the first 48 paid entries. Should there be interest above 48 entries, those names will be held and contacted should there be a need, due to withdrawals. All entries will be updated and listed on the Westside HQ Snooker Club Facebook page and the Westside HQ Snooker Club landing page on the QBSA Website.
Entry fee: $40.00.
Tournament is open to all players 50 years or over as at 1/1/2022.
Tournament is a Handicap event, best of 3 frames up to Semi Finals. Semi Final and Final will be best of 5 frames.
The Foul and Miss rule will be applied but modified to 2 F&M calls, a 3rd miss will result in a call of Foul only.
In order to alleviate slow play the Mercy Rule will also be applied. Details of this will be posted in the room during the Tournament.
Brisbane Club League Dress code applies throughout all rounds of the Tournament. (trousers, collared shirt and leather shoes, NO Jeans or Joggers) The Tournament Director shall have the final decision on what constitutes correct dress.
Entries close at Midnight, 14th October 2022 and the Draw will be made in the week preceding the Tournament.
Matches will commence at 6pm on Friday 28th October.
Matches scheduled for Saturday 29th will commence at 9am.
Quarter, Semi Final and Final will be held on Sunday 30th starting at 9.00am.
Westside HQ Snooker Club will endeavour to arrange a Referee for all scheduled matches. If this is not possible the loser of each match will be required to referee the next scheduled game on that table.
Prize money will be allocated as such, based on the maximum 48 entries being reached.
WINNER $1000.00
RUNNER UP $500.00
LOSING SEMI FINALISTS $40.00
HIGHEST BREAK $100.00 (including handicap)
The remainder of the monies will be included in the donation to the Cancer Council of QLD with all monies raised from the Monster Raffle that will be run by Club Westside HQ in conjunction with this Tournament. Tickets will be available for purchase during the Tournament.
